How do you get the chest without doing the final part of the quest?

But this needs to be confirmed, just my theory.
This was my reasoning as well. At some point I guess I'll go back into Slaver's, but having too much fun doing other HM dungeons with guildies, not to mention I need to finish DoA at some point for that damn statue.

I did the 4 bosses in normal mode and then got into duncans bit in hard mode without any problems. Got two onyx, one diamond and the deldrimor armour thingy, and slavers was credited in my hard mode dungeon book, not the normal one.

But in GW:EN Dungeons, Heroes have no effect on the chest drops.
What do you mean with that ? How can your heroes affect the reward chest in FOW? The drop from it is always the same

I believe he means the chests that pop up after completing a quest, not the reward chest for doing all the quests in one run.

I too am wondering why it was stated in this thread that Heroes affect chest drops. Why would they? Where did this idea come from? Where has this been confirmed?

I simply based my assumption with the henchies and hero effecting my drops because first of all they get a share of the money from monsters that have been killed and second, If anyone has done the kilroy stone skin quest and had henchies with them 90% or so of the time nothing came out of the chests but if one flagged the heros out of the compass map a few items would appear from the chest. This is why I asked if someone could post a link that says heros dont effect dungeon chests and chest drops period.

Simple logic really,

The difference between the Kilroy chests and the Slavers chest is one is random drops the other is guaranteed drops assigned to each person in the party. So for hero's to get anything from Dungeon chests they would actually have to click on it.

If they should have to click on the items to get them then that should apply to all quest reward chests imo.
